Jefrrey Hatcher, Reed Martin, Austin Tichenor Set for Merrimack Rep’s 2010-2011 Season

Merrimack Repertory Theatre has announced its 2010-2011 season, which will open with Reed Martin and Austin Tichenor’s The Complete World of Sports (abridged). Featuring the Reduced Shakespeare Company, the production will run September 9 – October 3.

The theater’s season will continue with Joel Drake Johnson’s Four Places (October 14 – November 7), which explores the surprises that occur when two middle-aged siblings take their mother out to lunch. Over the holidays, the theater will offer Beasley’s Christmas Party (November 26 – December 19), C.W. Munger’s adaptation of Booth Tarkington’s short story.

The new year will begin with Karoline Leach’s look at a con-man’s marriage to a well-off woman, Tryst (January 6-30). Also on the theater’s schedule are Bob Clyman’s portrait of parents’ struggles in raising their gifted children, The Exceptionals (February 10 – March 6); Seth Rozin’s exploration of the last two surviving Jews in Afghanistan (March 17 – April 10), and Jeffrey Hatcher’s A Picasso (April 21 – May 15).
