By Andy Propst • Mar 1, 2011 • Boston
Shirley Manson's single of "The Hunger," a song form Steve Sater and Serj Tankian's rock musical Prometheus Bound, has been released on iTunes. All proceeds from the sale of the digital single will go to Amnesty International.

Manson is a Scottish recording artist and actress, best known internationally as the lead singer of the multiple Grammy nominated alternative rock band Garbage. In addition, she was featured in the title song for the James Bond film The World is not Enough.

With book and lyrics by Sater and music by Tankian, the show, directed by Diane Paulus, is based on Aeschylus' tragedy about the suffering of Western civilization's first prisoner of conscience. The production, playing at Oberon, continues through April 2.
