Berkshire Theatre Group has announced casting for its upcoming production of Terrence McNally's Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune.

Directed by Karen Allen, the cast will feature Angel Desai (Company) and Greg Vrotsos (Parks and Recreation) in the title roles. The story takes place after a one-night rendezvous in Manhattan's West Side, where Johnny, a compulsive, starry-eyed, short-order cook, is convinced he has found his life companion in Frankie, a wisecracking waitress. Frankie's poor history with men leaves her hesitant to commit, but as the night progresses, she lets her guard down and an unlikely romance begins to blossom.

Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune first opened off-Broadway in 1987 with Manhattan Theatre Club, starring Kathy Bates and F. Murray Abraham. It received a Broadway run in 2002 at the Belasco Theatre, starring Edie Falco and Stanley Tucci, who received a Tony nomination for his performance.

The BTG production will run on the Fitzpatrick Main Stage from July 29-August 22, with an official opening on August 1.
