Actor Alec Baldwin and The Boston Pops, under conductor Keith Lockhart, performed The Dream Lives On: A Portrait of the Kennedy Brothers, with music by Peter Boyer and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, at Tanglewood in Lenox, Massachusetts on Sunday, July 18.

This new multi-media work combines quotes from speeches by brothers John, Robert, and Edward Kennedy, with original text and video, accompanied by a dramatic orchestral and choral score.

Cherry Jones, Robert De Niro, Ed Harris, and Morgan Freeman joined Lockhart and the Pops for the work’s world premiere on May 18 at Symphony Hall in Boston. That performance is now available on CD or download at BostonPops.org or iTunes.com.

Academy Award winner Chris Cooper will serve as narrator of the piece at the Hyannis Village Green on Sunday, August 1 at 5pm.
