The August Wilson Monologue Competition is open to high school students from participating cities. Competitors must perform a two to three minute monologue from any of the plays in August Wilson's Century Cycle and will be judged by a panel comprised of theatre professionals from their respective communities.

Atlanta semi-finalists will also receive a rare behind the scenes experiences during Two Trains Running, including attending the first rehearsal with the director, designers, and cast. In addition, participants will receive tickets to attend opening night of Two Trains Running.
