Robert Boyett, the Tony Award-winning producer and philanthropist, was recognized in a ceremony on Friday, July 13 at the British Embassy in Washington, DC for his invaluable service to British theater.

Both Boyett and Dr. William Kelso, a noted archeologist who was also honored at the ceremony, will be made Honorary Commanders of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (CBE) by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

During the investiture ceremony, British Ambassador, Sir Peter Westmacott, presented both men with the Badge of the Order.

Boyett has produced such plays as War Horse, The History Boys, and The Coast of Utopia, and has made generous contributions over the last eight years to the National Theatre, among his many accomplishments.
