Alfred Molina is an accomplished London-born actor whose diverse and distinguished gallery of performances has led to a lengthy and triumphant career. Effortlessly moving between film, TV and theatre, Molina is an authentic artist who is able to morph into a diverse mix of nationalities and personalities.

Molina starred as the leading role ‘Chief Inspector Armand Gamache’ in “Three Pines”, a Canadian mystery streaming television series for Amazon Prime Video, produced by Left Bank Pictures who had optioned the novel series Still Life by Louise Penny. Molina was recently seen reprising his role as ‘Dr. Otto Octavius’ in Spiderman: No Way Home, starring alongside Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Marisa Tomei.

Recently, Molina completed a run of Inherit the Wind at the historic Pasadena Playhouse and played Serebryakov in Uncle Vanya at the Vivian Beaumont Theater on Broadway. Some of Molina’s most unforgettable performances include portraying hedonistic Mexican muralist Diego Rivera in the rave reviewed multi-award nominated film Frida (2002) opposite Salma Hayek and directed by Julie Taymor (SAG Awards nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role), Jewish milkman Teyve in the 2004 Broadway revival of the musical Fiddler on the Roof (Tony nominated for Best Actor), deranged drug dealer Rahad Jackson in the critically acclaimed film Boogie Nights (1997) for director Paul Thomas Anderson and comic book villain Doc Ock in the blockbuster hit sequel Spider-Man 2 (2004) opposite Tobey Maguire for director Sam Raimi.

Other notable projects that Molina appeared in include Paul Thomas Anderson’s epic ensemble drama Magnolia, Lasse Hallström’s Oscar-nominated romantic comedy Chocolat (2000), Ron Howard’s adaptation of the Dan Brown novel The Da Vinci Code (2006) opposite Tom Hanks, and Lone Scherfig’s multi-award nominated An Education, for which he received a nomination from the BAFTA Awards for Best Actor in a Supporting Role opposite Carey Mulligan and Peter Sarsgaard. He also starred opposite John Lithgow in the critically acclaimed film Love is Strange (2014) for director Ira Sachs, which garnered him a Best Supporting Male nomination from the Independent Spirit Awards, and co-starred opposite Mark Ruffalo and Julia Roberts in the Ryan Murphy directed HBO film The Normal Heart (2014 / Emmy Nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor).

In recent years, Molina was seen in Florian Zeller’s The Father at the Pasadena Playhouse (2020), Tom Holloway’s play And No More Shall We Part for the Williamstown Theatre Festival (2017), Eugene O’Neill’s Pulitzer Prize winning drama Long Day’s Journey into Night for the Geffen Playhouse (2017), Showtime’s comedy-drama series I’m Dying Up Here (2017), films: Breakable You (2017) opposite Tony Shalhoub, Holly Hunter and Anna Paquin, Message from the King (2017) opposite Teresa Palmer and Luke Evans, A Family Man (2017) opposite Gerard Butler, The Front Runner for director Jason Reitman, indie film Saint Judy for director Sean Hanish, animated film Henchman for Bron Studios, and the much lauded Ryan Murphy produced FX series Feud: Bette and Joan (2017 / Emmy Nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor) opposite Jessica Lange and Susan Sarandon.
