About the Show

In a kingdom racked by war and religious tension, a prince is driven on a quest for truth, justice, and revenge. Seattle’s Eclectic Theater Company presents a pulsing, politically driven production of William Shakespeare’s The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark, in a way that will reopen audiences’ eyes to both current global issues and the human condition.

The show runs from January 11-February 2, Thursday-Saturday at 7:30 PM, and Sundays at 2 PM, as well as a 2PM show on Saturday, February 2. There is a Pay-What-You-Can Preview on Thursday, January 10. Directed by Cara Anderson-Ahrens, Hamlet features the acting talents of Justin Tracy, Aaron Heinzen, Glen Rauch, Dennis Kleinsmith, Lenny Granger, Carolyn Monroe, Liz Moisan, Marc Wilt, and Rik Deskin. The production crew features the talents of Jayme Markham, Brooke Cochran, Beth Hersh, Jason Gorgen, Isabel Dickey, L. Nicol Cabe, and Beau M. K. Prichard.

Eclectic Theater Company is located at 1214 10th Ave on First Hill in its new home base, the Odd Duck Studio. Hamlet is the third show in the company’s first full season for 2007-2008, and is one of its most exciting and ambitious shows to date.
