Ghosty: An Interactive Halloween Event

As Halloween approaches, the borders between this world and the next stretch very thin. Annex Theatre invites you to join the crowd invisible and become part of Ghosty, an annual interactive Halloween event on Saturday, October 27, 2007 from 8:00 p.m. until “the witching hour” of 12:00 Midnight.

It has long been rumored that the ancient Annex Theater is haunted by 13 ghosts, yet their tales have forever been mysterious. Their lives were loving and tormented. Each died in a fashion that denies them the peace of eternal rest! Once a year they are condemned to repeat the actions closest to them, the actions they cannot undo without your help. This haunting night is your chance to witness the actions that keep our ghosts tied to this world – or perhaps you will be the one to free their souls!

Audiences are encouraged to delve deeper into the mysterious actions of our ghosts by reading their stories of ill-fated love, longing, and loss posted throughout the venue and by correctly interpreting the meaning of the mysterious objects around them. Hidden in the words will be clues to each ghost’s talisman – an object held dear to its spirit owner. If you discover a talisman and give it to the proper ghost they will be able to rest – for a time! You may come at any time to observe these ghosts as they engage in their spectral haunting, or to play the talisman game.
