Dame Edna’s honorary understudy, the award-winning impersonator Scott Mason, bedazzles the stage with what the Dame herself calls “a monologue interrupted by total strangers.” Join us for a night of pure comedy as Dame Edna brings to witty light what she fondly calls “American puritanism at its worst.” With sincerity, sarcasm, and a smile, the self-anointed “Gigastar” skewers everything from celebrities to cruise ships to warning labels (the first few rows of the audience may be targets as well) but without an ounce of profanity — this is, after all, a classy dame from Down Under. Dame Edna also shares personal stories such as that concerning the fate of her deceased husband, Norm Everage, who suffered from a rare disease — the Prostate Murmur.
It’s all for fun and fun for all, and as always, the proceeds go to a good cause.
