About the Show
This Wakeful Night is a staged reading of a play inspired by the life of Kate Chopin (author of The Awakening). This play involves the struggle of Kate Chopin, a heroine to all women who want to champion their own lives, to find her identity and to choose between a husband and lover as she also struggles to overcome the narrow prejudices of a small Louisiana town.
