The House of Johnson and A Gathering of the Tribes celebrate the return of The Living Theater, the premiere avant-garde theater company that made its mark in world theater with such ground-breaking productions as The Brig, The Connection, and Paradise Now during the heydey of the New York experimental theater scene. After a six-month residence in Rochetta Ligure, Italy, the 50-year-old company returns to New York to develop new work. Join co-directors Judith Malina and Hanon Reznikov for this free event featuring members of the Living Theater Collective, author Steve Cannon, Miguel Alguerin of the Nuyorican Poets Cafe, visual artist David Hammons, and other local Lower East Side luminaries.
