A BENEFIT READING FOR RED BULL THEATER

The Scottish Play, a brand new comedy by Lee Blessing (A Walk in the Woods). New York Premiere featuring MARY STUART MASTERSON (Nine, Fried Green Tomatoes).

Happenstance leads to Hilarity as a Shakespeare Festival takes on the Bard’s most cursed play. Theater lore says it’s bad luck to utter "Macbeth" inside a theater — In this rollicking comedy, a director named Jack is about to find out why.
Directed by Jesse Berger (Pericles). Party and reception follows the reading. Admission $55.

The Maid’s Tragedy by Beaumont and Fletcher

Honor, love, betrayal, and blood — written by the most romantic of the Jacobeans.
Adapted and directed by Jesse Berger, starring Michael Stuhlbarg (Pillowman).

Tuesday November 1st, 7pm
The Man of Mode, or Sir Fopling Flutter, a comedy by George Etherege.

London’s leading libertine wreaks havoc on high society in this masterpiece of Restoration Comedy. Directed by Kay Matschullat (Eyes of the Heart), featuring Kate Burton (Hedda Gabler) and Dana Ivey (The Rivals).

Wednesday, November 2nd, 7pm
Playhouse Creatures, by April De Angelis

Men beware Women as Women take the Stage for the first time…

Directed by Kate Whoriskey (Fabulation), starring Dana Ivey (Driving Miss Daisy)
