About the Show

The Youth Onstage! Experimental Theatre Workshop presents Casper Hauser (A Language Game). Written by Dan Friedman and Nancy Hanks, Casper Hauser is a performatory meditation on language, its power and its limitations, how it shapes us and how we can shape it.

Starting with the true story of Kaspar Hauser, the German child raised in a shed without language in the early 19th century, the seven young performers from Youth Onstage! play with and add to the story and in the process question the very premises of conversation itself.
