8 Minute Madness Playwright Festival of 2009

Turtle Shell Productions’ 8 Minute Madness Playwright Festival of 2009 is BACK for its sixth season.. After an overwhelming number of scripts were submitted from playwrights across the globe, 11 original works have been selected for the FESTIVAL, along with THE BEST OF – 9 of the best plays from the last 5 years. Each group will be presented as a separate performance.

THE FESTIVAL brings together directors, award-winning designers and members of Turtle Shell Productions’ own in-house acting ensemble, The Terrapin Troupe.

Plays are 8 minutes in length and are directed by four of our most innovative New York directors. Audience members will not only witness the birth of fresh up-and-coming writers, but will also have the opportunity to weigh in and vote on which performances win the two highest honors: 8 MINUTE MADNESS BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ARTIST & THE PLAYWRIGHT OF 2009.
