The Harlequin Studies

Acrobats, masks, and live music – Bill Irwin takes on the historic Harlequin character, the lewd and lazy rogue of commedia dell’arte. A series of sketches will parade the many shapes and forms of Harlequin before you with a nod and a wink to tradition transformed with contemporary flair. The Harlequin Studies also features Irwin’s longtime collaborator Doug Skinner and a full cast of characters in this world premiere, the first production in Signature Theatre’s Bill Irwin season.
