About This Show

This is the story of Princess Turandot, a cold-hearted ruler. Trying to avoid marriage, the princess presents three riddles to potential suitors. If they answer incorrectly, they are sentenced to death. After several failing suitors, one man answers all three riddles correctly and wins Turandot’s heart.

Turandot has been hailed as Puccini’s grandest masterpiece. Its intense score demands the utmost of its performers, particularly the rousing “Nessun Dorma,” one of opera’s most renowned arias.
