The Antipodes

Directed by Gerald Freeman. The Antipodes, or The World Upside Down tells the tale of a doctor (the first use of a psychiatrist to be seen as a character in a stage play) and his endevour to cure Peregrine Joyless of his obsession to travel the world. Pretending to take him to “The Antipodes” where lawyers work for free, the hunted are the hunters, and women hold position of power this historic gem written by Ben Jonson’s manservant Richard Brome gives insight into the theater of Shakespeare’s time.
