About This Show

This is a benefit evening of two great plays to raise money to help bring these shows to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

A Thousand Cranes
by Kathryn Shultz-Miller, directed by Masha Obolensky
Featuring Holly Payne-Strange, Chris Mack, and Elizabeth Olson.

This is a true and thoughtful tale of a Japanese girl who lives through the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. Through her courageous eyes we see a child desperate to make her wish come true. An ancient folk lore states that if a sick person makes a thousand paper cranes, the gods will grant a wish. Will she make them in time or will someone else have to finish them for her?

The Boys Next Door
by Tom Griffin, directed by Benjy Schirm and Christian Galpin.
Featuring Chris Mack, Renee Miller, Mike Pfaff, Elizabeth Olson, Ed Sorell, Sean Stanco, Tom Wilson and Holly Payne-Strange.
Jackie is the burnt out caretaker of four challenged young men. There is Arnold with OCD and a Russia obsession, Lucien who loves agriculture and Spiderman, Barry a troubled man who has convinced himself he is a golf pro! And Norman who loves both do-nuts and Sheila. These characters bring grace and humor as they bring us along on their journey. Will Arnold get to Russia, will Barry get a hole in one, does Norman get the girl and does Lucien get to stay? Will Jackie actually find the courage to leave?
