Organic Theater Company presents the world premiere of Jennifer Maisel?s The Last Seder, winner of a 2001 Kennedy Center Award for New American Plays production grant. In this drama, the Price daughters reluctantly return for the last Seder in their family home, ready to move their father, stricken with Alzheimer?s disease, into another’s care. The pregnant daughter, the greedy daughter, the wandering daughter, and the lonely one who can’t bear to let her father go, find that the magic of the Seder ritual allows them to heal their pasts and move on with their lives. A Seder is the feast commemorating the exodus of the Jews from Egypt, celebrated on the first two nights of Passover. This production replaces the previously announced production of The Member of the Wedding.
The run time is about two hours and 15 minutes with one intermission.
