About This Show
Second City Unhinged was created as a platform for new and previously produced works from The Second City Training Center students and graduates as well as alums and current ensemble members of The Second City. Tuesdays are dedicated to improve and Wednesdays are dedicated to scripted material. The line up for the first series of performances is:
Tuesday
The Second City’s Summer Rental – Features some of Chicago’s finest improvisers as they examine and deconstruct our society’s ever evolving language. Featured improvisors include Ryan Archibald, Rebecca Allen, Amanda Blake Davis, Katie Neff, Charlie McCrackin, Jimmy Carrane, Noah Gregoropoulos, Tim Mason, Brad Morris, Kevin Fleming, Jyo Minakawa and Andy St. Clair. Directed by Dina Fanagan.
Tag – a completely improvised show featuring a host of Chicago’s up and coming performers including Carrie Barrett, Jill Blanford, Paul Brittain, Tara DeFrancisco, Niki Lindgren, Megan O’Neill, Kat Howley, Bob McNichol and Steve Walein. Direced by Tom Flanagan.
Wednesdays
Walk Much? – It hilariously tackles both society and politics. Directed by Hans Holsen.
Heavyweight Champion of the Car – Combines both physical and visual humor with fast paced scene work. Directed by Pat O’Brien.
