Neil Simon’s Pulitzer Prize-winning Lost in Yonkers is set in a comfortable apartment in Yonkers, NY, in 1942. Residing together are Grandma Kurnitz and her slow, pathetically affectionate 35-year-old daughter Bella. As the play opens Bella’s brother Eddie deposits his two young sons on Grandmas doorstep. The boys must contend with their stern, tough Grandma and learn to get along with their Aunt Bella. As the play progresses the mood deepens and darkens as the boys endure life with a family of emotionally crippled people.
There is an additional performance on Thursday, May 16 at 7:30pm.
