Budapest 1943: Four ordinary young people find transcendence in the face of tragedy. Their search for meaning amidst the chaos of the Holocaust comes to life in this luminous one-woman performance. Woven into this story are the remarkable philosophical dialogues that these friends had with numinous forces that appeared to them at the time as angels.

Talking with Angels unfolds around Gitta Mallasz’s courageous attempt to save her three Jewish friends and over 100 women and children from deportation by sheltering them in a “war factory” under the protection of the Catholic Church. As commander in charge of this factory she was successful in saving almost all of the workers.
