New York City
The A.C.T. Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) Program presents Once in a Lifetime, George Kaufman and Moss Hart’s acclaimed satire of the early Hollywood studio system. Margaret Booker directs.
When three struggling actors, May, Jerry, and George, hear about the new “talking pictures” coming out of Los Angeles, they ditch their dwindling vaudeville careers and head West for the good life. Soon after the three friends open an elocution school to cash in on the new vocal demands of the talkies, George gets his big break behind the scenes–and Hollywood will never be the same again.
There is no matinee performance on Saturday, October 23.
