Light Rail Pirates and Galapagos

About the Show

The Light Rail Pirates (LRP) are a loose confederation of buccaneers, whose sole goal was to impose their reign of terror onto Phoenix’s newest form of public transport. Alas they arrived in Phoenix only to discover that the Light Rail is still under construction, so as all soldiers of fortune do during down times, they have turned their anger towards the art of improv comedy.

Galapagos

Galapagos was formed in the Fall of 2003 and is devoted to performing longform improvisation based in strong ensemble work and characters & scenes rooted in truth. Our improvisation is often in the form of Harold, a structure and philosophy of improv developed by Del Close at ImprovOlympic in Chicago, the Deconstruction, the Armando, and include longform structures that we have developed ourselves. Whatever the specific form is, a single audience suggestion serves to inspire our explorations.
