Irving Berlin's Holiday Inn to Open Walnut Street Theatre's Open 210th Season

Ben Dibble, Jacob Tischler, Bonnie Kelly, and Cary Michele Miller will star in the production, directed by Charles Abbott and choreographed by Michelle Gaudette.

As previously announced, Walnut Street Theatre will open its 2018-19 season — its 210th — with a new production of Irving Berlin's Holiday Inn, running September 4-October 21, with opening night set for September 12. Casting and creative team details have now been released.

The production will be directed by Charles Abbott and choreographed by Michelle Gaudette. The cast will include Ben Dibble, Jacob Tischler, Bonnie Kelly, Fran Prisco, Jacob Wilner, Scott Angelides, Cary Michele Miller, and Mary Martello. The ensemble will include Aaron Bell, Denali Bennett, Casey Elizabeth Gill, Billy D. Hart, Jesse Jones, Kimberly Maxson, Dallas Padoven, Owen Pelesh, Ben Sheppard, Kayla Tarpley, and Marissa Wolner.

The creative team will include John Daniels (music and vocal director), Robert Andrew Kovach (set design), Mary Folino (costume design), Jack Mehler (lighting design), and Ed Chapman (sound design).

The musical is based on the 1942 film starring Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire, and includes more than 20 of the most beloved songs in the Irving Berlin catalogue, including "Blue Skies," "Easter Parade," "White Christmas," and more.
