1812 Productions Announces 2008-2009 Season

1812 Productions has announced its 2008-2009 season, which will feature work created and performed by Philadelphia theatre artists.

The season will begin with the third production of 1812’s This Is The Week That Is, October 9-November 2. This Is The Week That Is: The Election Special! will look at the hilarious history of the nation’s highest office, from powdered wigs to presidential podcasts. Next, the world premiere production of Cherry Bomb: The Worst Act in Vaudeville for the Holidays is a vaudeville/operetta/burlesque piece from Jennifer Childs and James Sugg, December 11-January 4.

The world premiere of The Karma Cookie will follow, March 5-March 29, with the adventures of Barry and Alistair, two sharp tongued Cockney brothers created by P. Seth Bauer. The season will close with the premiere of Let’s Pretend We’re Married, a new cabaret about wedded bliss starring Tony Braithwaite and Jennifer Childs, May 26-June 14.
