Soho Repertory Theatre announced an extension of the world premiere of Aleshea Harris's Is God Is. Originally scheduled to run through March 11, it will now play for two more weeks and close on March 25. Performances begin tomorrow, and opening night is still set for February 18.

The work is described as "a modern myth that follows twin sisters as they sojourn from the Dirty South to the California desert to exact righteous revenge." Taibi Magar (Underground Railroad Game) will direct the production.

The cast includes Teagle F. Bougere, Anthony Cason, Nehassaiu deGannes, Jessica Frances Dukes, Caleb Eberhardt, Alfie Fuller, Michael Genet, and Dame-Jasmine Hughes. The creative team includes Adam Rigg (set design), Montana Levi Blanco (costume design), Cookie Jordan (hair and wig design), Matthew Richards (lighting design), Jeremy Toussaint-Baptiste (sound design), Samantha Shoffner (props design), J. David Brimmer (fight director), Danielle Teague-Daniels (production stage manager), and Genevieve Ortiz (assistant stage manager).

Is God Is is Soho Rep.'s first production at its reopened lower Manhattan storefront at 46 Walker Street. The company previously had to close the theater in September 2016 and finish the rest of its 2016-17 season at different venues while the space was being renovated.
