Off-Broadway's Signature Theatre has announced supplemental programming for its upcoming productions of Old Hats and Angel Reapers. All events will take place at the Pershing Square Signature Center, and all are free and open to the general public.

The special return engagement of Old Hats, created and performed by Bill Irwin and David Shiner, begins performances January 26 and will play through April 3, with a February 18 opening. Directed by Tina Landau, the production features Shaina Taub, who also lends her music and lyrics. Talkbacks for the production will follow the performances on February 2, 16, and 25, and on March 1.

Angel Reapers, written by Residency Five playwright Martha Clarke and Tony and Pulitzer winner Alfred Uhry, with direction and choreography by Clarke, runs from February 2-March 13, with a February 22 opening. Talkbacks will be held following the performances on February 10 and 24, and on March 3 and 8.

A guided discussion of June Spriggs’ book Simple Gifts: Lessons in Living From a Shaker Village will be held on March 10 at 7:30pm, offering a look into the context of Angel Reapers. A pre-show discussion with one of the show's designers will also be held on March 1 at 6pm, illustrating how design transforms a production. The full story of Martha Clarke and Alfred Uhry's development process for Angel Reapers will then be the topic of a discussion scheduled for February 16 at 6pm.

Additional Sig Socials are also on the Signature Theatre calendar for February 5 and 26 at 9:15pm.
