Nine New Performances Added to Girls & Boys at Minetta Lane Theatre
The Carey Mulligan-starring production of Dennis Kelly's solo show, which has had to cancel some of its earliest performances, will now run through July 22.
As a result of a minor injury during an early performance that led to the cancellation of some subsequent performances, Girls & Boys, starring Carey Mulligan, has announced a new performance schedule at the Minetta Lane Theatre.
After the cancellation of performances on June 13 and 14 following its first preview on June 12, performances tonight at 8pm, June 16 at 8pm, and June 18 at 8pm are also canceled. The 2pm performance on June 16 and the 3pm performance on June 17, however, will go on as scheduled.
Also, nine new performances have been added, thus extending the run to Sunday, July 22. The additional performances are scheduled as follows:
Thursday, June 21, at 8pm
Tuesday, July 17, at 8pm
Wednesday, July 18, at 2pm and 8pm
Thursday, July 19, at 8pm
Friday, July 20, at 8pm
Saturday, July 21, at 2pm and 8pm
Sunday, July 22, at 3pm
Directed by Lyndsey Turner (Machinal), Dennis Kelly's solo show is described as follows: "They met at an airport and fell for each other. But in time, they would meet their fate as it all falls apart." Girls & Boys premiered at the Royal Court this past February.
The creative team for Girls & Boys includes Es Devlin (set design), Jack Galloway (costume design), Luke Halls (video design), Oliver Fenwick (lighting design), David McSeveney (sound design), and Joseph Alford (movement).
Audible recorded Mulligan's acclaimed performance as an audio play, extending its reach to millions of listeners around the world. It will be released on June 20.
