Dave Harris's Exception to the Rule to Receive Roundabout World Premiere

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced that it will present the world premiere of Dave Harris's Exception to the Rule. Directed by Miranda Haymon, the production was part of the 2019 Roundabout Underground Reading Series. It will begin performances on April 30, 2020, for a limited run through June 28, with opening night set for May 21.
Exception to the Rule is described as follows: "In the worst high school in the city, six students are stuck in Room 111. They flirt. They fight. They tease. Should they follow the rules and stay put, or find an escape? Are the walls keeping them in, or are stronger forces at play?"
Dave Harris is making his New York debut with this production. This will be Haymon's inaugural project at Roundabout following the completion of her Roundabout Directing Fellowship.
