Casting has been announced for Tokio Confidential, to run February 5-19 at Atlantic Theater Stage 2. Johanna McKeon will direct the production, which will have choreography by Tricia Brouk and musical direction by Mark Hartman.
With words and music by Eric Schorr, the show, set in Japan in 1879, centers on a young American war widow who crosses an ocean in search of a lost love, and in doing so, crosses a boundary from which she cannot turn back.
The company will feature Jeff Kready, Austin Ku, Mel Maghuyop, Benjamin McHugh, Manna Nichols, Mike O’Carroll, and Jill Paice.
The creative team will include David M. Barber (scenic design), Jacob A. Climer (costume design), Joel E. Silver (lighting design), Darrel Maloney (projection design), Carl Casella (sound design), and Zak Sandler (orchestrations).
