Tony Award-winner Jefferson Mays (I Am My Own Wife) and Mary Beth Fisher (Boy Gets Girl) will star in Yale Repertory Theatre‘s world premiere production of Sarah Ruhl’s Dear Elizabeth, a play in letters from Elizabeth Bishop to Robert Lowell and back again, running November 30-December 22 under the direction of Les Waters.
Dear Elizabeth chronicles the 30-year friendship between celebrated 20th-century American poets Elizabeth Bishop (Fisher) and Robert Lowell (Mays).
Ruhl’s plays include The Clean House, eurydice, In The Next Room (or the Vibrator Play), Dead Man’s Cell Phone.
The production features scenic design by Adam Rigg, costumes by Maria Hooper, lighting by Russell Champa, sound by Bray Poor, and projections by Hannah Wasileski.
