An offhand comment about one woman’s appearances changes four people’s lives in Neil LaBute’s thought-provoking play, reasons to be pretty, which had a celebrated Off-Broadway run earlier this season at MCC Theater and which is now in previews at Broadway’s Lyceum Theater. TheaterMania recently spoke to the playwright, who is having his first foray on the Great White Way with this work, as well returning cast members Piper Perabo and Thomas Sadoski and new additions Marin Ireland and Steven Pasquale, about this sure to be talked about theatrical offering.
