The Office's Rainn Wilson Stars in Thom Pain (based on nothing)
Thom Pain (based on nothing) begins performances tonight at Geffen Playhouse.
Thom is "just like you, except worse." The show, following this eccentric character’s life, is a wandering monologue, which covers topics ranging from the story of a bee sting to experiences with women. Having suffered a lot in his life, Thom wants nothing more than to save himself and the audience.
Written by Will Eno, the show is directed by Obie Award winner Oliver Butler, and it stars Rainn Wilson (The Office) as Thom.
The creative team includes Daniel Ionazzi (set and lighting design), Candice Cain (costume design), and Elizabeth A. Brohm (stage manager).
Performances will run through February 14.
