A.R. Gurney’s play stars Matthew Broderick, Julie White, and Annaleigh Ashford.
Producers of the upcoming Broadway production of A.R. Gurney’s Sylvia have announced an opening-night sweepstakes that will present one grand-prize winner with a package including two opening-night tickets, party passes, and more.
The package will also include overnight stay for two (plus canine friend) at the dog-friendly Loews Regency Hotel, dinner and drinks for two at the Palm Restaurant, a one-year supply of Petsmile Professional Pet Toothpaste, and a custom-made dog bed from Sit Stay Forever. In addition, 10 more winners will receive exclusive Sylvia on Broadway merchandise.
Starting September 1, contestants can enter Sylvia‘s opening-night sweepstakes by visiting the show’s Facebook page or by visiting and signing in with their Facebook or Twitter accounts. For every action contestants take, they earn additional entries into the sweepstakes. The sweepstakes will remain open until October 10, and the winners will be announced on October 15.
Sylvia will star Tony winners Matthew Broderick and Julie White as a couple whose marriage is torn apart by the arrival of a dog named Sylvia (played by Tony Award winner Annaleigh Ashford). Robert Sella completes the company. Daniel Sullivan directs. The play premiered off-Broadway in 1995 at Manhattan Theatre Club in a production that starred Blythe Danner, Charles Kimbrough, and Sarah Jessica Parker.
Previews will begin October 2 at the Cort Theatre, with opening night set for October 27.
