Stanley Tucci will play Caesar Flickerman and Wes Bentley will play Seneca Crane in the film version of Suzanne Collins’ popular novels, The Hunger Games, according to published reports. The film, to be directed by Gary Ross, will be in theaters March 23, 2012.
The cast includes Oscar nominee Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Banks, Liam Hemsworth, Paula Malcomson, and Willow Shields.
Tucci directed the 2010 Broadway revival of Lend Me a Tenor, and starred on Broadway in Frankie & Johnnie in the Clair de Lune. Bentley made his Off-Broadway debut in Classic Stage Company’s production of Venus in Fur. His film credits include American Beauty and Jonah Hex.
