The New York-based theatrical innovator, SITI Company, is celebrating its 20th Anniversary in the coming months.

Among the featured productions will be a college tour of the company-created Café Variations, which uses existing music and lyrics by George and Ira Gershwin and excerpts of plays by Charles L. Mee. Anne Bogart, the company’s co-founder and artistic director, is at the helm of this show which weaves together longing, lust, lost love, found love and budding romantic adventure.

The tour includes stops at University of Maryland; Krannert Center, Urbana, IL (on the campus of the University of Illinois); Hamilton College, Clinton, NY; Fairfield University, CT; and Juniata College, Huntington, PA.

The company’s anniversary season also features the previously announced Trojan Women (After Euripides) at BAM (November 28-December 1), with that show going on to play Connecticut College; Arts Emerson, Boston, MA; and University Musical Society, Ann Arbor, MI.

Also, the previously reported collaboration with Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company, A Rite, will be presented at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, NC; University of Maryland; and SUNY Purchase.
