The Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts will present a 30th anniversary performance from Washington, D.C.-based political comedy troupe, The Capitol Steps on November 25 and 26.
The Capitol Steps are an annual Thanksgiving weekend tradition at the Scottsdale Center. Set to popular music, the group’s political satire pokes fun at all sides of the issues, no matter the political affiliation.
The troupe began in 1981 as a Christmas party skit in the office of Senator Charles Percy. During the past three decades, the group has recorded more than 30 albums, performed for five U.S. presidents and appeared on Good Morning America,The Today Show, 20/20, and Entertainment Tonight.
