R. Hamilton Wright has been named the 2012 recipient of the Gregory A. Falls Sustained Achievement Award, which he will receive at the 4th Annual Gregory Awards being held at A Contemporary Theatre (ACT) on Monday, October 29, at 7:30pm.
Wright has been a professional actor for 35 years with over 130 productions to his credit. This past season, he appeared in The Pitmen Painters and One Slight Hitch, and also directed A.R. Gurney’s Sylvia for The Seattle Repertory Theatre.
Nominations for the awards have also been announced. Competing for Outstanding Production are Accidental Death of an Anarchist (Strawberry Theatre Workshop), First Date (5th Avenue Theatre and ACT), Jesus Hopped the A Train (Azeotrope), Mary Stuart (ACT), Pygmalion (Seattle Shakespeare Company), and Red (Seattle Repertory Theatre).
