The Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright’s daughter, Hallie Foote, leads the cast.
Primary Stages has announced an extension for its production of Horton Foote's The Roads to Home, which opens the company's 2016-17 season. Directed by Michael Wilson (who helmed the 2013 Broadway revival of Foote's The Trip to Bountiful), The Roads to Home began performances September 14 at the Cherry Lane Theatre in advance of an October 5 opening and will now run through November 27. Closing was originally scheduled for November 6.
The show's cast includes Devon Abner (The Orphans' Home Cycle), Hallie Foote (Dividing the Estate), Dan Bittner (The Vertical Hour), Rebecca Brooksher (Dying City), Tony winner Harriet Harris (Thoroughly Modern Millie), and Matt Sullivan (Standing on Ceremony).
The creative team will feature scenic design by Jeff Cowie, costume design by David C. Woolard, lighting design by David Lander, original music and sound design by John Gromada, and casting by Stephanie Klapper Casting.
