PHOTO FLASH: Katherine Crockett, Zak Orth, Daphne Rubin-Vega et al. at Independent Collective Benefit

Katherine Crockett and Daphne Rubin-Vega hosted a benefit event for The Independent Collective’s IndieGoGo film funding campaign at a private residence in Tribeca on Monday, September 19.

The event included a featurrette from the Collective’s first feature film — Tiny Dancer written by Jayce Bartok, and which stars Crockett and Rubin-Vega. It follows legendary dancer Lauren Drake, who has just become a mother and is struggling to balance her drive for perfection on her journey to dance again.

Among the attendees at the benefit were Mikhail Baryshnikov, Kerry Butler, Lucy Devito, Khrystyne Haje, Josh Hamilton, Thomas McCarthy, and Zak Orth.
