Permission, by Hand to God's Rob Askins, Extends Run at MCC Theater

MCC Theater has announced that Permission, a new comedy from Hand to God playwright Robert Askins, will extend for one week through June 14 due to popular demand. The production will begin performances April 29 at the Lucille Lortel Theatre with an opening night on May 20. The show was previously scheduled through June 7.

Justin Bartha (The Hangover, Asuncion) and Elizabeth Reaser (The Money Shot, How I Learned to Drive) star in the play, which also features Nicole Lowrance (Peter and the Starcatcher), Talene Monahon (The Seagull), and Lucas Near-Verbrugghe (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson). Alex Timbers directs.

The play follows Eric and Cyndy, who have decided to follow the lead of their friends Zach and Shelley and make Christian Domestic Discipline the foundation of their marriage. But restructuring their lives and their union upends everything they knew about each other.
