New York Theatre Workshop will present Wright/Rush, a conversation between Academy Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Doug Wright at 8pm on Monday, May 11 at NYTW. Proceeds from the event will benefit the theater.
The pair met when Rush starred in the film version of Wright’s play Quills. Rush, who won an Academy Award for Shine, is currently starring on Broadway in Exit the King. Wright won the Pulitzer and Tony for I Am My Own Wife and has written the books for the musicals Grey Gardens and The Little Mermaid.
