Music City Will Conclude Off-Broadway Run

Music City will conclude its off-Broadway run at St. Luke’s Theatre on Saturday, September 19.

Featuring music by Nashville singer-songwriter J.T. Harding, a book by Peter Zinn, and immersive staging by director Eric Tucker, Music City is about T.J., a struggling musician who gets scouted by a major talent agent at an East Nashville dive bar. She wants his demo, but he doesn’t actually have one, which means he needs to record one fast. And the only way he can think of getting that kind of money quickly is to work for the local drug dealer.

This encore run in midtown follows an extended run uptown with Bedlam in 2024.

TheaterMania’s review of this run called it, “better than anything that was written for Broadway this past season.”

The current cast includes Drew Bastian as Newt, Jonathan Judge-Russo as Drew, Julianne B. Merrill as Wyn, Lauren “Lolo” Pritchard as ‘23,’ Leenya Rideout as Tammy/Leeanne, Andrew Rothenberg as Bakerman/Stucky Stiles, and Stephen Michael Spencer as T.J. Understudies are Grace Bernardo, Danny Hayward and Megan Loomis.
