The cat still remains at large.
The new off-Broadway musical Mrs. Smith's Broadway Cat-Tacular! will end its run at the 47th Street Theatre on August 1 after beginning performances July 10. The production was originally scheduled to run through September 20.
Starring David Hanbury as his signature creation, the elderly Mrs. Smith, the musical follows the titular figure as she hosts a theatrical spectacular in an attempt to find her missing cat, Carlyle. The production also features Brandon Haagenson and Ken Lear, all under the direction of Andrew Rasmussen.
From an undisclosed location, Mrs. Smith offered the following statement regarding the show's closure: "PLZ HELP. CARLYLE STILL AT LARGE. NOT A JOKE. THX. #FINDCARLYLE"
