On December 18, Now. Here. This. (and [title of show]) collaborators Jeff Bowen, Hunter Bell, Susan Blackwell, Heidi Blickenstaff, Michael Berresse, Larry Pressgrove, and a group of their Kickstarter backers gathered to eat cake and celebrate the release of the original cast recording of their show, which played at the Vineyard Theatre.
The album’s existence is particularly notable because it was funded by individual donations from fans, friends, and perfect strangers via the internet fundraising platform, Kickstarter. On the announcement of the release, the creative team said, “We learned from our [title of show] adventure that every moment is an awesome moment. Whether it’s a moment of sadness or joy, of defeat or triumph, what’s important is to be present to that moment, no matter what.”
To further celebrate the release, on December 20 at 5 pm, members of the cast will also appear at Don’t Tell Mama for Seth’s Broadway Chatterbox, a weekly talk show hosted by Seth Rudetsky. Click here for tickets.
