A new production of the beloved Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe musical Gigi is set for a pre-Broadway engagement at the Eisenhower Theater at The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, arriving at the theater in January 2015. The production is intended to open on Broadway later the same year.

Eric Schaeffer (Follies) directs this re-envisioned adaptation by British playwright and Emmy-nominated screenwriter Heidi Thomas (Upstairs Downstairs). Gigi is based on a novel by Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette and follows the romance that develops between a wealthy playboy and a young courtesan.

Gigi is produced by Jenna Segal, and Foresight Theatrical serves as general manager. The schedule, casting, and full creative team will be announced at a later date.
