In addition to freebies and prizes, the day will include performances by Joe Iconis & Family, TADA! Theater, and more.
On September 7, TheaterMania.com will turn a block of Third Avenue, from 74th Street to 75th Street, into a celebration of New York City theater. The festivities will take place as part of the 39th Annual Third Avenue Community Benefit Street Fair, which will last from 12pm to 5pm.
The afternoon will include a free concert hosted by magician The Amazing Max with performances including Joe Iconis & Family, Literally Alive, On the Town, Opera On Tap, Little Orchestra Society, TADA! Theater, and Rock Star Karaoke.
Other attractions on the block will include contests, interactive games, special offers, giveaways, and information about the latest happenings on the performing arts scene. Participants include Atlantic Theater Company, Roundabout Theatre Company, Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar & Grill, Mamma Mia!, Les Misérables, Beautiful, New Victory Theatre, Berenstain Bears LIVE!, Signature Theatre, New York Theatre Workshop, You Can’t Take It With You, NYU Skirball Center, The York Theatre, TADA! Theater, The Phantom of the Opera, Disgraced, The Flea Theater, Aladdin, The Lion King, and more.
