Jimmy Buffett will help open the Marquis Theatre box office on December 8 at 10am to kick off ticket sales for his new Broadway musical, Escape to Margaritaville.

As part of the production's ongoing hurricane relief efforts, $5 from every ticket purchase made at the box office on December 8, will be donated to One America Appeal, a non-profit organization founded by all five living former U.S. presidents to aid hurricane victims in the U.S. and in the Caribbean. To date, the show has raised more than $110,000 for hurricane relief.

The musical begins Broadway previews on February 16 at the Marquis Theatre, with an official opening night set for March 15. It recently finished up a pre-Broadway tour that played at The Saenger Theatre in New Orleans (October 20-28), the Hobby Center in Houston (October 31-November 5), and the Oriental Theatre in Chicago (November 9-December 2). It ran earlier this year at La Jolla Playhouse.

Paul Alexander Nolan (Bright Star) heads the cast as Tully alongside Alison Luff (Les Misérables) as Rachel, Lisa Howard (It Shoulda Been You) as Tammy, Eric Petersen (School of Rock) as Brick, Rema Webb (The Color Purple) as Marley, Don Sparks (Take Me Out) as J.D., and Andre Ward (Something Rotten!) as Jamal. Featured in the ensemble are Matt Allen, Tessa Alves, Sara Andreas, Marjorie Failoni, Steven Good, Angela Grovey, Albert Guerzon, Keely Hutton, Justin Keats, Mike Millan, Justin Mortelliti, Ryann Redmond, Ian Michael Stuart, and Brett Thiele.

Escape to Margaritaville is described as a "musical comedy getaway featuring both original songs and Jimmy Buffett classics," including "Come Monday," "Volcano," "Cheeseburger in Paradise," and more. With a book by Emmy Award winner Greg Garcia (My Name Is Earl) and Emmy Award nominee Mike O’Malley (Shameless), the new production is choreographed by Tony Award nominee Kelly Devine (Come From Away) and directed by Tony Award winner and La Jolla Playhouse artistic director Christopher Ashley (Come From Away).

The creative team includes scenic designer Walt Spangler, Tony Award-winning costume designer Paul Tazewell, two-time Tony Award-winning lighting designer Howell Binkley, two-time Tony Award-winning sound designer Brian Ronan, and Tony Award nominee Christopher Jahnke as music supervisor.
